Data inspector
The data inspector is a panel located below the viewport area, providing a comprehensive view of the data loaded from the input file and/or dynamically computed by the data pipeline. The data inspector panel is initially in a collapsed state, with only the tab bar visible. It can be expanded by clicking anywhere in the tab bar. The panel consists of several pages, each being dynamically shown depending on the kinds of data that are present in the current dataset. For example, there is a page listing all particles and their property data in tabular form.
The following pages are part of the data inspector and are shown only if the corresponding type of data is present in the pipeline output:
Angles
Dihedrals
Impropers
Surfaces
One additional page, AI Agent , is always shown, since it is independent of the data loaded into the current dataset.
Property tables
Most pages of the data inspector list the elements of a property container (e.g. particles, bonds, mesh vertices, or data table rows) in tabular form, with one row per element and one column per property. Two kinds of properties receive a special treatment in these tables:
Typed properties such as
Particle TypeorStructure Typeare displayed as tags showing the numeric type ID, the name of the type (if any) and its color. Clicking on such a tag opens the definition of the type on the Types page.Reference properties store indices of elements in another property container, for example the
Topologyproperty of bonds referring to the two particles connected by a bond, or theClusterproperty of particles referring to a row of the cluster list produced by the Cluster analysis modifier. They are displayed as tags such asParticle 5orCluster 3. Hovering the mouse over a tag shows all property values of the referenced element in a tooltip. Clicking on the tag jumps to the referenced element on the corresponding page of the data inspector. References to no element are shown asnone.
Copying the contents of table cells to the clipboard (Ctrl+C) yields the plain numeric values in all cases.
