Cartoon
Added in version 3.17.0.
This tab of the data inspector panel lists the residues of the cartoon representation of a protein structure and their property values, such as the secondary structure assignment, the chain identifier and the residue type. The tab is only shown if the current pipeline output contains a cartoon data object, which is created by the PDB and mmCIF file readers.
The list box on the left lets you switch between multiple cartoon objects if the pipeline output contains more than one.
The filter expression field at the top of the table lets you restrict the list to residues matching a Boolean
expression, for example SecondaryStructure == 1 to list only alpha-helix residues.
The Particle Index and Oxygen Index columns are references to the alpha-carbon and carbonyl oxygen atoms of each residue and are displayed as a clickable
tag (Particle 42). Hovering over a tag shows all property values of the referenced atom, and clicking it jumps to that
atom on the Particles page. The typed properties Secondary Structure, Chain and
Residue Type are shown as tags as well, which lead to the type definitions on the Types page.
Filter expressions can also access the properties of the referenced atom, e.g. ParticleIndex.Position.Z > 0.
Conversely, the Residue Index column on the Particles page links each atom to its residue,
and particle filter expressions such as ResidueIndex.SecondaryStructure == 1 access the properties of that residue.
